By the time he recorded Rock ‘n’ Roll, John Lennon had been through quite a lot. From the dissolution of the Beatles to the fracturing of his marriage to the ever-present threat of deportation, he clearly had a great deal weighing on him. It was during this same time that he embarked on hi. . It was during this same time that he embarked on his legendary lost weekend in Los Angeles while estranged from Yoko Ono.

The Jackson family started out in a humble four room home in Gary, Indiana. This book chronicles the beginnings and the rise and eventual decline of the Jackson Five as a group. But, due to the persistence and drive of their father, a group of singers known as the Jackson Five became the leading performers in this country. The five brothers were Jermaine, Jackie, Tito, Marlon and, of course, Michael. After being signed by Motown Records, they became their biggest act, shadowing The Supremes and even Stevie Wonder. Michael is covered in his younger years when he was a part of the group.

Profiles each of the five brothers as well as describing their rapid rise to fame as a singing group
