A lovable flop-eared bunny named Leo the Lop lives in the magical land. Stephen Cosgrove's parables are direct and effective but state their case with winsome mildness, and few of them do it better than Leo the Lop. Countless books for kids address issues of accepting differences in others I don't know how Stephen Cosgrove has flown under the radar of literary acclaim the way he mostly has since his authorial debut in 1974. His Serendipity stories are as good as any comparable classic one could point to, as perceptive and profound as Aesop's fables of old, but softer and sweeter.

A great story about a bunny who gets bullied (sort of: he is made to feel different, like a freak, by other bunnies who innocently notice that his ears are different from theirs) and how he deals with that, and questions the concept of "normal" and what it means. In the end, all the bunnies are friends and decide that whatever way you are is normal, there is no one definition. A timeless classic.

My sister went to a baby shower that they wanted you to bring your favorite book instead of a card for the baby. When we were younger I remember her reading this book over and over. We even had a pet rabbit (not named Leo). This is a cute store about how it is ok to be different and the pictures in the book are very nice. The copy we have is a hardcover book with paper pages. I hope the new baby enjoys this story as much as we did.

The book was listed as Good condition but it was pretty rough. I wanted it for a gift but did not give it as it was pretty worn

My favorite book as a child in the 80s. I still love it today and buy it for my friends' toddlers. It helped to teach me kindness to other children when I was little.

I actually bought several Serendipity books to send to my niece in Oregon. I'd read some of them as a child (and admittedly still read them occasionally now). I had this book as a child, and I read it again as soon as it arrived, and I have to say, it is wonderful. The Serendipity series is something that you should keep forever, and read every now and again. It really does explain, simplify, and drive home many things that even we as adults struggle to grasp.
This book is the first of three others. This book is magic. I have used this book with all ages (adults to the non-reading child). I have given many copies away. There are beautiful illustrations. Both the author and the artist are very talented. This has a story that we each could remember when confronted with difference (our own or others). This book is one of my favorites of all time.
