Love Adler's books. Better for older children.

I could have used a preview of this book prior to purchasing. It's a bit too bluntly factual for the lower end of the 6 year old age reccomemdation- including the info that "Eleanor was born and ugly & awkward child...". An understandable explanation of the history but I wish I had a more clear idea of what I was purchasing.

It's dumb to make me HAVE TO write a certain amount of words for a review. Makes me not want to do it.

David Alder always does a wonderful job with his mini-biography picture books for young readers. In this book Alder briefly focused on the different periods of Eleanor Roosevelt's life, the struggles she faced and the compassionate humanitarian she was. A great addition to any elementary library or classroom
