Suddenly Timothy’s nightmares are Timothy July has been having nightmares. I've been reading a lot of middle grade horror/ghost stories lately and Dan Poblocki's books looked right up my alley. About his brother, who is in a coma after being wounded in Iraq; about his best friend, Stuart, who is behaving like a jerk; about the old biology specimens in jars lining the walls of his classroom; and about Abigail, the new girl who seems to be a magnet for trouble. Or perhaps she is the cause. Suddenly Timothy’s nightmares are coming true. You have to admit - the cover art is pretty amazing.

Something in these jars had scared Mr. Crane yesterday. What had he seen? There was a connection between al of these events. Too many pieces of this strange puzzle had matching edges.

Something in these jars had scared Mr. Straining, Timothy lifted the box and headed to the parking lot. Outside, the garbage bin was as high as Timothy was tal. The lid was open, but as Timothy stood there, he realized that he couldn’t toss the box inside. As disgusting as some of these creatures appeared to be, he felt weird throwing them in the garbage. Besides, the box was simply too heavy

This book is so amazing, that other mediocre thriller books tremble at just the sound of its name. Eddie is was just the perfect character for this book. He tries to do well in almost if not all aspects and he grows well throughout the book. He gains great friends, has heads up thinking, is very clever, and shows lots of bravery in a time where most would cower. Most books I don't read twice, but this I would definitely keep in the back of my mind to do that. Really a great piece of work.

Good story, however his first book "The Stone Child" is my favorite.

The cover was ripped but that was probably in the description.

For my 11 year-old

My 12 year old read this book for a school book report; I like to know what she is reading so I read it as well. For a suspense/ scary novel directed at youth I found that I also enjoyed this book. It is a quick read with an interesting plot and not inappropriate in any way. My 12 year old also enjoyed this novel but the most feed back I received was "yeah, it was good".

This book is creepy but just when you think you know what is going to happen next, it changes unexpectedly. With the new twist the story becomes much more interesting.
