The awesome and frightening dragon has a deep, dark secret. Far, far away in the darkest cave in the deepest valley amongst the highest mountains there lives a huge and terrifying dragon. With his fiery breath and mighty strength, this awesome beast fears no man. But there is something he is afraid of…. Enter George: he may not look like much of a hero, but a hero he turns out to be. Chris Wormell’s ferociously good illustrations contrast brilliantly with this gently humorous story. From the Trade Paperback edition.

The book gets five stars but I didn't realize that mini fox version meant it was a 3" square book. I was exceedingly disappointed when it arrived as it was a gift. As for the content, I love how the words tell a simple story. It the pictures add in all of the detail. Brilliant.

This is a darling story that my three year old son adores. It is written with very simple text and illustrated with great pictures. The story is about a terrible dragon who can tear down castles and defeat armies. He carries away a princess from her castle (you get this part of the story from the illustrations) and carries her off to his cave. Meanwhile, George moves next door to the dragon... and he saves the day. You see, the dragon is terrified of mice, and George is a mouse. When George hops over to the dragon's house to ask for some sugar for his tea, the dragon flies off in horror (great pictures here) and George ends up living in the castle with the princess as her friend and "guard mouse." My son loves castles and knights and dragons. I think this book also appeals to him because someone small saves the day. A great laptime book!

This book, published in England, is wonderfully illustrated and tells a clever story of a big dragon that has a secret phobia of tiny little mice.

My son thinks he is a knight so this book is right up his alley. The story is good and the pictures are amazing.

Loved it! Great service!
Cute and funny- not the tale of Saint George and the Dragon. We laughed when we discovered the identity of the Dragon's fears. A great bedtime story for all ages.
