Julia Jarman has an amazing ability to convey complex layers and issues through short and sharp stories which have maximum impact . I think that Julia Jarman's new book "Hangman" is a very good book. irresistable plot" (School Librarian). I am the first person from Lambwath Primary School to read it. I enjoyed the part where Toby's schoool Lindley High goes on a school trip to France and when they are in France, Danny, Toby's friend gets lost. There is some swearing in the book but I don't mind because it makes it quite realistic. The bit that I like best is when Toby just leaves Danny and goes off with.

Julia Jarman is the author of more than 80 children's books, including Big Red Tub, Ghost Writer, Kangaroo's Cancan Cafe, Peace Weavers, and the Time-Travelling Cat series.

Very Old Chap
Never even heard of this film if it ever was in the theaters. Bought the DVD because of 2 of my favorite actors (Pacino and Karl Urban) were in it. It is a bit gory at times, but it had good acting and, although I thought I knew who the bad guy was about 1/3 of the way through the movie, I was wrong. Good strong action sequences, keeps you guessing and well worth a 2 hour viewing.

Another great Kellerman novel: tightly knit, entertaining, enthralling. Be sure to be enthralled.
Always the great twist and turn! Read.

This book involves murder by strangulation (hanging), a missing woman who also happens to be the wife of a sociopath and their son, a musical prodigy .Complicated plots and deliciously structured characters are what Faye Kellerman does best. She weaves two mysteries together into a fully developed story, but she also brings us up to speed on the Peter Decker and Rina Lazarus family, including grown, nearly grown, pending and new members. If you've followed these mysteries over the years, reading the next book is like going home to a great family get together. The dialogue is always fresh, the placement of Jewish instruction & tradition interesting; and the dry humor is a genuine gift. Love it when she adds a adds a bonus case in the final twist.

Because I love mysteries, horror and thrillers I am a little surprised that this was the first Kellerman book I ever read. And it was a pleasant read. You get the first murder right off the bat. After that they just keep coming. It had all of the elements of a cop and killer story. We also learn a great deal about Decker's family, which lets us learn more about the kind of man he is. He is older than his wife and you feel like he's starting to get tired, but quitting is not in his nature. I was not surprised at who the killer of the first victim was. Jealousy will get you every time, especially when you are also the one that started the series of events that lead to so many deaths. I will read Kellerman again.

Reads well and smoothly. Less crime detection with two surprises, luck creates a defendant and lack of luck leaves a defendant in the win.

But this is a humanist story...one of a simple, honorable, peaceful and blessed love relationship and, the other, a complex, strict, contentious, confusing and far from blessed, but nevertheless, love relationship.

Definitely, worth the price of admission.

I have been reading about Peter and Rina for a long time. This was great. Family is so important to them, but Peter ' s work is also important to them. Cindy followed in her dad's footsteps. The boys are grown but still close. Everyone is understanding of the time he puts into cases and a little involved. I like that the whole family accepts Gabe.

These books are always just great. What a writer. Stories are fast paced, action packed, many twist and turns, you keep wanting more. This one was especially heart warming too.
Thanks
The book started interesting,a good story, actually two stories besides Deckers personal story. It left too many things hanging like finding the one murderer. Then it ended abruptly.
