Margaret Ann Schulze was born on November 11, 1936 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She contracted polio at age 12 in 1949. Abduction by Peg Kehret is a great book that I enjoyed reading. Peg Kehret writes middle grade fiction and nonfiction. I first began reading this in fifth grade, I read about 25 pages and was forced to return the book to the school library because it was the end of the year. Five years later I decided the return to the book. When she was twelve, Peg was paralyzed with polio. Most of her protagonists are the age she was then. A volunteer with animal rescue groups, three of Peg's books are co-authored by Pete the Ca. Books by Peg Kehret. Mor. rivia About Abduction!

My daughters 4th grade teacher read to the class and my daughter has never been so interested in a book. Fully engrossed.

Excellent book. Read by the 12 yr. old boy, mother and grandmother. Found the story related to an incident that happened a couple of months after reading it. Although it is about a young boy who you would think is the main character, it is his sister who is the main character that helps police in the investigation.

Read this book along with my son who is in 6th grade. He really does not like reading and would much rather play basketball or go do something outdoors:). However, we both enjoyed reading Abduction and talking about it after reading each day! I think the author did a great job of making you see how sick and cunning child abductors can be. I think this book helped my son see how easily someone can trick you into believing any story and will make him think twice if anyone ever approached him. Thanks for writing this!
