Cadillacs & Dinosaurs Paperback – March, 1991. by Frank A. Chadwick (Author), Mark Schultz (Illustrator). This is the first RPG(Role Playing Game) that I have seen for Cadillacs @ Dinosaurs. It is well written and well illustrated with art from Mark Schultz

Cadillacs & Dinosaurs Paperback – March, 1991. It is well written and well illustrated with art from Mark Schultz. This RPG is an in depth look at the people like "Jack Tenrec", Animals like the "Shivat"(Tyrannosaurus Rex), and the lands that this story was created on. Also there are pages that have maps and character data sheets that can be copied. Soon I should have my own game set up.

From the pages of Mark Schultz's comic book Dinosaur Shaman: Nine Tales from the Xenozoic Age comes this story of a post-apocalyptic world in which dinosaurs return to earth. You may be familiar with the animated television show that was created from this comics; but whether you liked that show or haven't even heard of it, take my word that the comic book is much better. My cherished copy of Cadillacs and Dinosaurs that I found in a Tacoma used book store ages ago. If your library doesn't have any of Marc Shultz's Xenozoic Tales you really should track some down!

Today's Guest: Mark Schultz, comic book artist, creator, Xenozoic Tales, . a Again: dinosaurs? And Cadillacs? No doubt a big seller at the recently opened Creation Museum in Kentucky, but some couldn’t help but be a little dubious.

No doubt a big seller at the recently opened Creation Museum in Kentucky, but some couldn’t help but be a little dubious. Until you opened the pages of Xenozoic Tales, that is, and experienced first-hand the ingenious storytelling and rich tapestry of comic art. I remember seeing a couple random issues of the book, which was published for more than a decade, and finding it captivating. But I was outside the comics scene and it wasn’t easy to find.

Mark Schultz can write a tale but his gorgeous black and white artwork is sheer eye candy, and now you can see why Al Williamson asked to write the introduction. As Williamson states, there are touches of Wally Wood, Hal Foster, and Alex Raymond in Schultz's renderings, and one can only conjecture as to why this guy isn't bigger on the comic book stage. It probably has to do with how long it takes him to produce his artwork.

Mark Schultz (/ʃʌlts/; born June 7, 1955) is an American writer and illustrator of books and comics. His most widely recognized work is his self-created and owned comic book series, Xenozoic Tales, about a post-apocalyptic world where dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures coexist with humans. He is also the current writer of the Prince Valiant comic strip. Cadillacs and Dinosaurs Part 1 of 2 Detail from Xenozoic Tales by Mark Schultz Back in the mid-1980s, when serious comic book fans heard that artist and writer Mark Schultz had created a world that crossed dinosaurs and Cadillacs, their first reaction was: Cool! Some no doubt thought that it was too much of a gimmick to succeed.

Based upon Mark Schultz's underground comicbook Xenozoic Tales, this RPG sets the players in a distant post-apocalypse, where dinosaurs have returned to dominate the Earth.

For being such an old game I was surprised the physical quality of the book. The rules that 90's unique mind befuddling rule system that plagues these old PnP games, but it ties in with Twilight 2000, and Travelers 2300; so I'm determined to play a game as a laser wielding dinosaur.
