Ricardo Elizondo Elizondo (January 26, 1950, Monterrey - August 24, 2013, Monterrey) was a writer, playwright, historian and archivist, whose work concentrated on preserving and promoting the culture of northeastern Mexico. Several of his books won awards and other recognitions in Mexico and abroad. Ocurrencias de Don Quijote (1992) received five international awards Work.

Co-edition with the UNESCO's Northern Regional Committee and the Ministry of Education. Ricardo Elizondo Elizondo selected texts from the classical Cervantes's novel Quixote that were later illustrated by children and young people of Nuevo Leon. The project also included the co-publication with the Tec de Monterrey (ITESM) of a CD-Rom with texts compiled by the author related to information about the copies available in the Library Cervantina. Included are some of the most beautiful illustrations of these volumes and a section of 'The occurrences of Don Quixote' where excerpts from the book can be consulted by topic.
