Most people go through life not really getting any smarter. But that’s not going to help you get smarter. Why? They simply won’t do the work required. as opposed to the themed level 2 or 3 books (batman, princess, etc...) these books focus on plain old good quality english words. they read well and are appropriately challenging for their level. plus they remain funny and enjoyable for the kids and adults alike.

do not hesitate to buy these over the themed ones. your kid will read so much better and improve faster.

highly recommend!
(btw despite my love of piggie and elephant books, these i think are better teachers of reading)
We received this book as a gift and it's going into the Goodwill pile soon. The boy in the story defiantly says he doesn't want to go to bed so his Dad just goes to bed himself and lets the boy stay up all night. The boy gets a little scared but plays until he falls asleep on the living room floor. His Dad carries him up to bed around 5am. After reading this book, my 4 year old decided he wanted to try the same thing. I'm all about teaching proper bedtime routines and any book that interferes with that is not for us!
