Cousins's die-cut illustrations, rendered in a rainbow of tropical hues, provide clues to discovering the undercover lemur. A series of peeping eyeballs, which can be spied peering through the pages at various points, also serve to lead readers down this merry path of seek and find.

Her book Za-za's Baby Brother was also recently used in the nationwide Tommy's campaign for premature babies. She lives in Petersfield, Hampshire, and has four children. As Mama JoJo makes her way through the jungle looking for Jazzy, she asks a variety of animals if they've seen her child.

Risky Strong Dromedary
This story has been part of our bedtime routine for at least a month now. Something about Lucy Cousins' illustrations and simple words and sentence structure seems to captivate my baby. I expect she will enjoy this through her toddler years as she begins to memorize the simple phrasing and turn the die-cut pages (which--by the way, truly make you feel like you are literally searching through the storybook's jungle to find "Baby Jazzy", behind vines and foliage). Our first Cousins book was "Hooray for Fish" (which we also loved), but Jazzy and Mama JoJo have definitely become the favorite. I would recommend this to anyone reading to babies and toddlers through 3 years of age and plan to purchase this title again for gifts.

I got this from the local library, and it didn't take long for this to become a favorite. At seven-months old my son would only read 2 books, and this was one. I kept renewing it, but finally just purchased it. As far as durability...some of the pages have cut outs or flaps, so they tend tear easier than other books. I think the only way to increase durability would be to laminate the pages. I figure it's the nature of interactive books.

I puchased mine used so I could get a hardbound. As far as I can tell they don't publish hardback anymore.

My Aunt Millie sent money to us to purchase books for her new great nephew. This was suggested. He's too small to understand yet, but looks like a wonderful book for when he's a little older.

My daughter is only 10 months old but loves this book! We have over 60 books and this is one of her favorites. She always reaches for this one. We do have to be very careful when reading it so she doesn't rip the pages. I love all the bright colors!

Grandson loves this book!
What a great book for preschoolers! My kiddos loved this book. As soon as I finished, they'd beg me to "read it again!" It's a sweet book to read and reread to little ones!
