Ms. Seeger has created a novel way to teach colors. Really nicely done. I think my preschoolers like it because it reminds them of books with flaps they can open even though this book has no flaps (it has cutouts). The colors taught are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black, white, and pink. Sorry, NO BROWN! But that's ok - still a great book, creatively done! I read it to 3 and 4 year old every week. Thanks, Laura!

Simple and fun book with clear and amusing images. Great for reading aloud. Children love responding with answers they know ‘are lemons red?’ Noooo!!!

Fantastic book for early readers. If you have a reluctant reader, s/he will read THIS book. Children love it! I am a Reading Specialist and use this book frequently to get children to try to read. They love the cut outs in this book and they love reading it.

Good book for teaching colors.

Love Seeger books like Green and The Hidden Alphabet. This is a great book for young kids learning colors.
Once again, this author has found a clever way to present a book about a very simple concept. The text is simple so my daughter is able to "memorize" it after a few readings. She loves the cut-out illustrations and insists upon being the one to turn the pages because of them. Very engaging and creative book overall.
