I own three other sets of flashcards from this brand and these ones are my least favorite. There is one particular card that just annoys me, it's a flashcard of a "purse" that is heart shaped, but it just looks like an odd heart and you can't even make out that it is a purse. I would recommend skipping these flashcards all together and just buying very simple and basic color and shape flashcards. These cards are confusing. For example, they show a picture of a duck for the color yellow, but in our animal flashcards they also use the same yellow duck, so my son says duck which is fine and he isn't wrong, but I bought these cards for him to learn shapes and colors which they don't seem helpful in aiding that at all.

These are exactly what I was looking for and even better than expected! Beautiful design and very good quality. It's a simple concept but keeps my 18 month old son engaged and gives us lots of things to talk and learn about. I love all of the prompts and info it gives on the back of each card. It is helping us add some Spanish words to our vocabulary! I really can't say enough about these. This will very likely be something I repurchase for gifts for friends and family. A+++

These are adorable and great for teaching first words and colors. My baby can touch the cards for the different textures and the colors are so bright and vibrant. They are sturdy so they can withstand little destructive hands. The back of the cards even have suggestions for what to ask and how to teach your little one. Will definitely be purchasing the different packages of these cards.

This is my 3rd set of my first cards that I own and although I love them all, this set is probably our least favorite. They are great cards but like previous reviewers wrote, it does get confusing for toddlers when they see a dress but are referencing it as "purple" or see a present and have to call it a "square". These cards are a great concept but may be a bit too confusing for my little toddler. One plus with this set is that there is a lot of cards - 16 of them and plenty to touch and feel.

I'm very impressed with these! We started using these with my 12 month old. We really want to attempt to teach him Spanish and English so it was a great surprise that in the back of each card is how to say the words in multiple languages. My son love when we pull these cards out. The touch and feel is what really keeps him engaged and I love the color and sturdiness of each card. These have really helped him learn these words. When we go for walks I have noticed that he points and says the words. I was worried that the cards would ruin or bend easily. That is not the case with these. Great quality.

These cards are WONDERFUL!! My son is now 4 and has autism and has not yet said a single word, but we have 4 different packs of these cards that he just loves and we use to teach him words. Even though he doesn't speak, we know he knows what things are because we can ask him to find a card of whatever it is and he'll pull it out and show us. We've owned these since he was diagnosed at 18 months and most of them have held up really really well! He also has sensory issues and loves how some of them are textured. For those of you who are church goers, these cards are something great to take to church because they come in a great velcro box and they're QUIET! Very pleased with these cards! Highly recommend!

Love all the other boxes, but this one was not our favorite. The shapes and colors were somewhat confusing. Your trying to learn shapes...a pink heart purse it too much all in one. Maybe a pink heart, OR a pink purse. Was a little strange....
My 16 month old loved these, helped her learn the name of things we don't see often. She loves choosing the card I ask for when I lay them all on the ground. She is now 20 months and still like them but not as much.
