A great work by a great theologian. This one will cause you to question the assumptions of a lot of commonly held doctrines in the church today. Not an easy read, but well worth the time you'll put into it.

If I could rate the product separate from the author's work, I would. The printing was done on 8.5 x 11 paper, making for long lines of reading. This is cumbersome for the reading process. It would be better on smaller paper or if columns were added, making for shorter lines.

Sir Robert Anderson has answered the bothersome question, "why does a loving God do nothing when children are being murdered and innocent people are being destroyed?"

The short answer to the question is, Jesus came the first time as our kinsman redeemer to save us, and bring us into a period of grace. When He comes again, it will be as the avenger of blood. His silence of the present time gives us the opportunity to repent and accept the gift of His salvation. When God does act, then Armageddon will ensue and Judgment (no more chances).

Anderson's work cuts through the misconceptions taught by many Christian religions by going directly to the Bible. His study of the Bible is a great help to our own discoveries inside the Word of God.

Tells truth, very good explanation why the new agers, prosperity preachers, name it and claim it crown are 100% wrong and does not even mention their names as it was written before they came on the scene.

The categories above do not reflect the content of this well-investigated book on God's Word. It is thought provoking work of Sir Anderson to be read by all Christian and non-believers.

This Robert Anderson is the author of "The Coming Prince" which anyone interested in prophecy should own. "The Silence of God" is about the quandary:

If God is all powerful, He would be able to intervene against human suffering.

If God is good, He would want to intervene against human suffering.

Therefore, God cannot be both good and all powerful.

The book is very clear and well written, and the reader will be able to evaluate to what extent he agrees with Anderson's ideas.

The quiet period of God is an important part of God's plan. Sir Robert nails it. I've read a few of Sir Robert's books and found them all to be highly informative.
This is a short book and an excellent read for Christians that was written during a time when the secular opinion of atheism was rife in Europe and God was vilified by the intellectual elite without restrain. Simple said, Sir Robert Larson declares from a in depth study of the Bible that it is "Faith plus nothing" that is the path to redemption, not works or deeds of the believer are required to receive the grace of God and it given to all who believe God.
