We've used David's book in our men's group with much success. I was looking for something which would cut out some of the excess verbage on the topic of men's spirituality. The way that he's outlined the book into five good chapters give us a week's worth of reading for our discussion. I thought this was a very helpful book! By Thriftbooks. com User, July 6, 1998. David L. Fleming, SJ, is internationally known for his conferences, retreats, and writings on Ignatian spirituality, spiritual direction, and the spiritual life. His books include Draw Me into Your Friendship, Like the Lightning, and Prisms for a Christ-Life. I purchased this book for my Spiritual Direction and I really like reading about the Ignatian Spirituality and I might add, this is also a required book. The book is very easy to read and there are a lot of material that is worth learning. I am really looking forward to reading more about Ignatian Spiritual in other books of this kind.

They saw spirituality, on the other hand, as a highly appropriate subject for discussion. They reported that they were able to bring more of their complete selves to work. This does not mean that they had no fears, reservations, or ambivalence with regard to the potential abuse of spirituality. Nonetheless, they still felt it was essential. They could deploy more of their full creativity, emotions, and intelligence; in short, organizations viewed as more spiritual get more from their participants, and vice versa. People are hungry for ways in which to practice spirituality in the workplace without offending their coworkers or causing acrimony. Note

Masculine spirituality is rapidly emerging as a new direction for men on the "God-path." Birthed out of the Men's Movement, it takes seriously the ways that God and men are revealed to each other through theology, scripture, behavioral sciences, anthropology, history and the countless shared stories of men who gather together to discover authentic masculinity. Masculine spirituality asks the question, "How can a man live a vibrant spiritual life, embracing all of his capacities for connection with God, and yet, not diminish the life that women are discovering on their own path?"With an Introduction by Richard Rohr, O.F.M., this work is a review of the writings of authors on the major themes or "movements in the symphony" of masculine spirituality.
