it: is this not fear of God and serving God the way a person of reflection can, in the somewhat different way than the spontaneously immediate person, but perhaps more ardently. Søren Kierkegaard, in JP VI 6234 (Pap. IX A 222 1848). It is the refusal to defeat any individual. When you rise to the level of love, of its great beauty and power, you seek only to defeat evil systems. Individuals who happen to be caught up in that system, you love, but you seek to defeat the system. So many people are looking for some kind of a key, or trying to work some formula to get God to answer their wants or needs. The people of God-the patriarchs and Old Israel-had definite views about which sexual behaviors were permissible and which were not, by which they stood out from among the peoples of ancient Canaan. In the Old Testament histories, the books of the Kings, we find King Rehoboam criticized because he permitted sodomites in Judah, and King Asa praised because he drove them out. The views of the New Testament writers were consistent with their Old Covenant forbearers.

For the last so many lectures we have been saying that you cannot pay for God’s love. It makes me laugh sometimes.

Understanding the love of God, Caxton Hall, London (UK), 11 May 1982. For the last so many lectures we have been saying that you cannot pay for God’s love. Human beings can never understand His love because they live in a very limited sphere. His love is unlimited. His forgiveness is unlimited. Even this word ‘unlimited’ and ‘infinite’ we do not understand because we have not known anything like that. And to say that something is genuine is also like certifying something that is genuine

There is a teaching that says it is contrary to God’s love to destroy/kill the sinner. GOD S LOVE is represented in our day as being of such a character as would forbid His destroying the sinner. This profoundly illuminating book, Understanding God's Love, authored by Mr. Ronald Greib, occupies a special and honored place in my private biblical/spiritual library. I have referred to it numerous times through the years for the Marvel of its Message, and the Awe and Comfort it inspires! Few books exhibit the penetrating, compelling, irresistible insight that Mr. Greib provides relative to the true meanings of Judgment and Mercy, and how these qualities or attributes relate to Love when understood in Its Fullness! Truly, Mr. Greib unveils for us 'the Depths of the Heart of Love'! Words of reassurance, such as 'God does not count men's transgressions against them because there is NO LIMIT to love's forbearance, hope, and power to endure,' and 'God will NEVER give up on us. God is FOREVER trying to inspire man to a greater growth in love,' and 'God is UNDETERRED in His love,' and 'Love means to hope in someone FOREVER, to ALWAYS wish for their transformation to true life, For God to stop doing this would mean God no longer loves,' and 'God doesn't punish. God ONLY loves. God is ETERNALLY trying to restore humanity to true life,' and 'God's restoration or forgiveness is offered in this world AND IN THE NEXT,' will become utterly believable and make total sense after reading Mr. Greib's book where he documents these astonishing Truths through his scholarly analysis of Scripture and gift for uncovering the depths of meaning few have plumbed. I thank God repeatedly for the work Mr. Greib has produced under the direct inspiration of the Holy Spirit for our day and time. This book will leave the reader rejoicing and glorifying God that such Truths as Mr. Greib makes plain are being dispensed by God's Spirit for the liberation in mind, heart, and spirit of all mankind in these latter days. I know of no other book I would recommend first to sincere, earnest, seeking, searching souls, and particularly those laboring under erroneous Scriptural beliefs, than 'Understanding God's Love'! Thank you, Mr. Greib! I am tremendously grateful! Most sincerely, Mack Ethridge (Author and inspiration speaker)

For the theologian and non-theologian alike, Understanding God's Love is a "must read". A personal summary of the author's quest to learn the true image of God as revealed by Jesus in contrast to the many and varied images of God portrayed over the centuries. Biblically based, "Understanding God's Love" clearly demonstrates that God does not desire the death of any living creature. In fact, God's love and mercy are totally revealed in Jesus who came to do the work of the Father, i.e. give life. As an advocate for the true image of God, Mr. Greib's book rings the death knell for the claim often found in an insurance policy that natural disasters like hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, are the "acts of God". Readers of this book will be offered an image of a God who cannot be blamed for the pain, misery and death present in the world. God is presented as working constantly and untiringly for life thru angels and the created world. His efforts are hindered by man and woman when they they refuse to co-operate with Him. The reader will undoubtedly be challenged to examine his/her image of God. The journey, if undertaken, will be less traumatic with "Understanding God's Love" as a trustful companion and guide.

As a teacher I read many books, but very few have the theological background as well as personal insight like Ronald Greib's "Understanding God's Love." His work provided me with insight to deepen my own relationship with God, which has given me great contentment and happiness.

"Understanding God's Love" provides the framework for a much deeper and profound understanding and recognition of God's love for all mankind. Mr. Greib has done an excellent job dissecting the often proclaimed "wrath of god" views of society and he presents, with significant biblical research, the true "Unconditional Love" that our Lord has for all. Of particular interest is Mr. Greib's detailed writings on natural disasters and the existence of evil. This book is a pleasure to read and has impacted my life with a greater understanding of God's love!

Mr. Greib provides excellent biblical analysis of a topic which has not been formally researched or written upon by many. This book contains beautiful, well written explainations of the often untouched and unacknowledged views of God being the "all loving". Greib's work has made a profound inpact on my spiritual life and how I understand Gods impact and true love of all of us in everyday life!! Thank you Mr. Greib for this book!

A wonderful loving God of unbelievable love and concern for every detail of my life! Everything is so well documented from scripture. An absolutely wonderful book that I believe will become a classic in Christian literature!

This book hits the mark!! Ron Greib has put together a beautiful book which explains the many misrepresentations and misunderstandings of God. He obviously is well read and provides excellent biblical references as well as providing a clear picture of God's unconditional love. A perfect book to make your everyday life much fuller, It has definitly has touched mine!
Greib reveals, based on scripture, that God is far more loving than most often proclaimed by Christian clergy. Greib offers an image of God that explains all reality. This is the book for the third millennium of Christianity. Greib never appeals to "mystery" to explain evil in nature or in man. Greib reveals profound and startling biblical insights into the nature of God. God's love is revealed to be far beyond humanity's fondest dreams and deepest longing.
