Kay Arthur has a done a great job addressing the hard times of life by pointing readers to the only true Healer, God. She too has gone through some deep valleys and knows first hand how difficult it can be to turn your focus off of your overwhelming circumstance and back onto the only One who can help.

We starting using this book as a resource when dealing with suicide from a Biblical perspective but now we are just studying the book because of the insightful way that it deals with hurt and pain in general. It is real, personal and achingly honest about one woman's journey but it has so much impact because hurt is a journey that every human takes multiple times during this life time

This is the book I've been reading and/or listening to on my Kindle the past couple days. This is probably one of the very best I've ever read on any topic, but hands-down THE best I've read on the specific topic of deep hurt, pain, and suffering -- whether that suffering is caused by by *random and horrifically unfair circumstances beyond our control* or our own poor choices where we make bad decisions and reap the consequences..... Or a combination of both. This book is honest, straightforward, and solidly Biblical...no sugar-coating, shying away from the hard questions, glossing over the tough issues with pat answers, or any such thing....this book also has NO shortage of abundant compassion, love, mercy and grace interwoven throughout. I recommend it to anyone and everyone. It is helping me quite a lot, and I know it's one I'll go back to again and again.

One of the most important things Kay Arthur spoke about in this book for me was suicide. It was a comfort to think about the people in the Bible who have committed murder but were still used by God. She says that suicide is murder of one's self. I've never thought of it that way before. She is an amazing person. It's hard to believe she is 80.

Where is God when terrible things happen in my life? Did He forget about me? Does He even care about me? Why is He allowing all the trash of my life to keep happening? You feel like there is no end to the negative things that keep piling up and coming non stop. Kay goes through the different hurts and how to have faith to tell God that you are angry with Him and how to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Very helpful.

Kay Arthur is a wonderful speaker and I enjoy her books. She has addressed every area in life you can possibly imagine. She forces you to commune with God. I have done several of her studies and I am not disappointed with this one.

The Arthur was able to give me a understanding God's way concerning emotional and spiritual pain. The scriptures and coping tips were easy to apply and understand.

Excellent! This book is worth a read. It gives you assurance that God is always with you no matter what life brings your way!
The book is awesome! But, I do NOT like the fact that you limit the number of books you can purchase! It is a Bible study! You should be expecting the possibility of multiple orders.
