It also highlights Wesley’s wisdom about the vital role of the spiritual practices in nurturing and shaping this love. I really enjoyed this book. It makes the case for the core basis of holiness being love based on the relationships within the trinity. Easy to read style. Some helpful history background but not too much. Good discussion of the issue without being overly academic. A necessary book for the church today to pull us all away from a punitive, justice approach. I will be encouraging others in the church to read it.

Really helped me get a better grasp on the Church of the Nazarene's Doctrine of Sanctification. It was a more current articulation on the topic. Before that, people were left reading Greathouse's Wholeness in Christ, which was written in the early '70's, I think.

An excellent read for anyone wanting to learn and apply Holiness in the Wesley traditiion

A great read for those wanting to take a closer look at their relationship with God and others. It is understandable and very articulate.
The book will get you thinking of more than just personal purity. They give holiness a 3 dimensional sense, though much of the content will challenge the reader.
