It was a little on the young side for the boys I purchased it for (ages 11 and 10), but they read it quickly and enjoyed it.

Here is a wonderful story written by a priest from Brussels about a boy who meets Jesus in a beggar. Though he has no home, the beggar shares his space with Jamie, though he has only stale food, he shares it. These books teach a child compassion, dependence upon God, and extraordinary courage. What's more, this is a true story, with minor details changed. This story shares our faith and love of the Church with children between 7 and 11 (I know my older ones will read this at least once, as well) in a deep, meaningful way. There's a question and answer section at the back as well.
