My ten-year-old reader said it was a "very enjoyable book." It can "get your enthusiasm up real high, and on a bad day it gets your hopes up. And I really liked the part about all the machine guns, and the escaping, and how he went through the gun. It was very exciting! My favorite part is at the end where he...committed his life to Christ and found out the Lord was actually watching over him by letting him go instead of it being bad luck."
He recommends this book to other readers his age.
Enjoyed this great story with the historical references throughout the story. It did a great job of holding my attention. It was a good story of character and spiritual development of the main character as he goes through adversary.
This book is a great World War II story for the entire family. Your kids will learn little tidbits about the war not taught in school. If you are looking for a book your family can pass around and each read a bit or your family can read on its own and then discuss, this is the book for you. If you are looking for a good suspense filled read for yourself, this is also the book for you.
