This is a great series! And I want to explain my answers. Gilbert Morris is an awesome author. When I say some violence, it's very very mild but depending on which book you're reading you might get to a place where a character gets shot, beat up or threatened. As with sexual content, the most you will get in this series is some kissing but it's still technically, "sexual content" so I included it. Try book one and keep going, you won't be disappointed.

If you expect a riveting read, this one might not be for you. It is a christian story of finding God, so, going in, the plot is predestined regardless of the characters or the plot device getting there. Still, there is a huge audience for this type of story and on that weight I would definitely recommend it to all fans of Christian fiction.

This book will run the gamut of ones emotions. From fear to disgust and repulsion to joy and laughter and peace and praise, the reader is drawn into the story completely. This will prove to be one of my favorites of this series and the lessons it teaches will remain with me forever. Thank you Gilbert Morris.

More I read this series the more excited I get to find the out come of each Winslow family member and where they will end up.
I ordered the next five books of the Winslow series when I found out there were some that I hadn't read. I am enjoying reading my favorite historical Christian novelist.
