The Calvin and Hobbes Tenth Anniversary Book by Bill Watterson (Paperback, 1995)

There's Treasure Everywhere: A Calvin and Hobbes Collection by Bill Watterson (Paperback). The Calvin and Hobbes Tenth Anniversary Book by Bill Watterson (Paperback, 1995). Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson (Paperback, 1988). Bill Watterson is the creator of Calvin and Hobbes, one of the most popular and well-regarded cartoon strips of the twentieth century. Calvin and Hobbes appeared in newspapers from November 1985 until Watterson's retirement in 1996. Country of Publication.

In the world that Calvin and his tiger Hobbes share, treasures can be found in the most unlikely places, from the outer regions where Spaceman Spiff travels to the rocks in the backyard--this curious duo roams their world in search of fortunes (and misfortunes!) to be experienced. Whether Calvin and Hobbes are blasting off on another interplanetary adventure or approaching warp speed on a downhill wagon ride, their capers consistently charm and refresh their readers' days. On his own, Calvin is prey to the insidious killer bicycle, is the arbiter of the Dad poll, is the creator of a legion of snowmen who provide an incisive social commentary, and Hobbes is always there as the perfect companion. Watterson's talent is evidenced by the range of thought-provoking emotions the strip encompasses in addition to the laughs it induces: the loyalty and friendship between Calvin and Hobbes, the challenge of being a patient parent, and the sardonic viewpoint of a cynical six-year-old ("I'm a 21st-century kid trapped in a 19th-century family," laments Calvin) combine to make this one of the best-loved strips in cartoon history.

So addicting. I read it over and over again, it never gets old. Recommended for ALL ages definitely. In this book...

· Spaceman Spiff continues his travels to uncharted planets.

· Stupendous man triumps with justice once again.

· Calvin remains struggling over being good because of santa.

· Calvin is still pasting susie with snow balls.

· G.R.O.S.S (Get Rid Of Slimy girlS) remains a successful club.

· Hobbes tries to motivate calvin to be good.

· Calvin and Hobbes have their deep conversation time before they tumble off a cliff in their red wagon.

My kids LOVE reading Calvin & Hobbes. Love it.

We will buy them every book - because with all of the electronics available, getting them to love anything that has to do with reading is a parenting win.

My husband reads them a few pages each night and when we tell them it's reading time, my oldest always goes for the Calvin & Hobbes comic books. We've added all of them to his Christmas list (I'm sure he's forgotten this already) and I know he'll be so excited when he gets them.

My 8 year old son loves these books. He has to read after school as part of his daily homework and these books are always his first choice. The way his face lit up made me want to buy every single book. I have ordered from Amazon for my kids in the past but have always opened and wrapped them. If you order it for your young one I'd suggest just telling them they got a package in the mail. It's great to watch the excitement and joy they get from receiving mail!

Got a few Calvin and Hobbes books for my nephew. These are big books (in dimension) and there is a combo of black and white text & pictures and also color inside. Calvin and Hobbes is a classic, especially for boys. But my nieces (who are older than my nephew) read through the books and loved them, too.

These books are the best! These will make you laugh no matter what age you are. I'm so glad I came across these again and have now introduced them to my kids! There is a subtlety to the humor that is not often found today. It is often a mischievous humor, but it is a pure humor free of innuendo, and crude butt jokes that often pull us down. Read a couple of pages and you will quickly know if this is for you. I highly recommend it!

My husband owns most of the Calvin and Hobbes books ever released. We introduced our oldest daughter to Calvin when she was 8 and a good reader. She loved him on first reading. When she found out that there were a couple books missing from her dad's collection, she saved her money and bought this book. She has loved every page of this classic Calvin. My daughter was gracious enough to let her dad read the book, but she still hasn't let me!

"Calvin and Hobbes" are the best. I bought the complete set, which includes every strip. They are as follows, "The Days are Just Packed," "There's Treasure Everywhere," "Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat," "Attack of the Deranged Mutant Killer Monster Snow Goons," "It's a Magical World," and "The Authoritative Calvin and Hobbes." If you're a fan, this is the only way to go.
This has had a big influence on my 12 year old's desire to read. Timeless, funny and clean
