I had wanted this book for over a year after reading its summary, and a few months into that 'wanting' I finally read the story online. I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT. In one month I read this story at least five times over because it was just too freaking adorable. I found out about this manga long after it went out of print, so in the end I paid $18.99 for it (the lowest price I could find anywhere) instead of the original $12.95 but I do not regret it in the slightest. As soon as I got it, I read through the entire thing in one sitting to both re-read the story yet again because the print version was finally in my hands, as well as to compare June's translation to the online version, and they matched up almost exactly, so if you end up going the online route, you will not be missing out on anything... except the cute little less than 10 page extra bonus story about the two main characters that has not been translated online but is included in June's print version. c;

The artwork is super cute, as with anything by Toko Kawai, and the two characters were so cute, yet also pretty realistic, as was the plot. It works well as a five-chapter one shot manga and I am totally satisfied with it, although it does make me curious as to what it would be like as an even slightly longer series. I squeal every time I even think about this story. There is no explicit sex, mostly just a couple after-sex lovey dovey scenes. In fact I would almost say this is more of a shonen-ai story than real yaoi. Definitely "soft/fluff" yaoi at the most.

This has grown to be my all time absolute favorite one shot manga (between any and all genres, not just yaoi), which is saying something since I am a manga collector with over 700 volumes of mangas, over 100 of which are one shots. If you choose to not even read this online, you are seriously missing out! I would recommend this above nearly every other manga that I have ever read. I am so happy and proud to finally have it in my collection.

I loved it. It's not only sweet, it's psychologically realistic. All of the characters are likable. Hajime's doubts made me cry.

This isn't a PWP, if you know what I mean.

This manga has a great exposition and build-up. Most yaoi manga, nearly all of them (I've read dozens) have far too short an exposition to the story and characters. Here, finally, is a very good one. Not short and not too long. There's a build-up to the conflict too, not a super-short or overly slow one either. The couple doesn't do the nasty on page four, for once. "Cafe Latte Rhapsody" is a manga with a real plot. The characters are believable and three dimensional. They are consistent throughout the story. It was a nice surprise!

I stronly advise anyone who likes romance and an actual storyline to buy this book immediately. You'll be glad you did. I was! I'm now going to find other titles by this artist, Toko Kawai. I hope theree are others to read from her.

I went in to reading knowingit would at least be worth my time because it's by my favorite mangaka Toko Kawai but it was actually very sweet. It's a fluffy story about two different guys; one is tall, awkward and shy, the other is outgoing but hides a low self-esteem. It's hard to describe without constantly using cute! I really loved this story. I highly recommend it to any first time yaoi readers looking to get their feet wet before taking the plung into the hard stuff. Also I would call this story Shonen Ai rather than yaoi because its very light.

Hajime, short, freckled and plain, keeps seeing Keito, tall and fearsome, at the bookstore where Hajime is in charge of the science and technology shelves. Attracted despite himself, Hajime finally meets the tall, attractive stranger when Keito discovers a pair of abandoned kittens. Hajime offers to take them home, and invites Keito to accompany him.

This is a story with not much dramatic tension but a lot of charm. Keito is awkward and shy, Hajime has a history of picking bad men, but they hit it off, although not without some angst: their insecurities drive the action enough to keep it moving. These are two of the nicest guys you're ever going to meet -- I found myself cheering them on from early in the story. It's really character-driven, which is the best kind of story.

Kawai's drawing is sketchy and loose, and fits the story perfectly. I didn't even mind the chibi frames, of which there are many -- they're not just for broad comedy accents, but also include images of the boys just being happy being together, which adds to the charm.

It's on my re-read list. That's not an easy place to get to.

Okay so instead of being like those people who try to sum up the book by repating what it says on the back I'm just gonna give it to you straight...Well since this is Yaoi I'm gonna give it to you gay lol xp. Cafe Latte Rhapsody is by far one of the cutest Yaoi manga ever. It's rated 1 but has a few kinda Naughty secneslol. The couple in this story is sooo adorable the story is funny, heart warming and will leave you blushing a few times, the sad thing is it was so short, i actualy dragged through the boook because i didn't want it to end. Hajime is in my opinion any Seme's dream. and Keito is just the dorkest Seme ever!!! If you want a good Yaoi manga Then Pick up Cafe Latte Rhapsody You will not regret it!
