First off, I absolutely love River Cottage and HFW. I'm also interested in baby lead weaning, which this book is a good resource for. What is so, so, so incredibly disappointing is the bias this book has towards exclusive breastfeeding. Not all women choose to breastfeed, and not all women can. This book facilitates the shaming of women who can't/don't EBF and also contributes to the hostile culture surrounding breastfeeding.

To be completely fair the author does state "...I am a passionate advocate for breastfeeding. But I know there are a host of reasons for choosing formula, and I would never judge any mother who does so." Then she goes on to say that breastfeeding "may" be the better choice, but I mean it's obviously the author's choice and the book is strongly biased toward breastfeeding.

I do like the recipes, but as my baby is 5 months old I haven't yet tried any of them. I'll be keeping this book, but I really wish this book would have remained more neutral on the formula vs breast milk battle.

Great ideas for recipes and incorporates options for making family meals with slight adaptations for a baby or toddles.

This book helped learning how to feed my baby fun. Great healthy recipes. Nice design as well.

Baby lead weaning and vegetarian friendly (some non veg too)
Great recipes for everyone!
Rooty soup and Polenta Chips are already favorites
Painwind
Excellent book - baby led weaning with great hearty and (most importantly) natural, additive free recipes. I am a big fan of the River Cottage range and our little boy seems to be enjoying his food - although still early days
