Many hours of enjoyable and fun reading and thinking back to the old days when absolutely no one was putting out stuff this incredible and subversive. Salute, ladies and gentlemen of NatLamp. You did fine work.

This is one of those beautifully uneven books I haven't read in decades, but still remember fondly. Every time someone rails about how we need a new Constitution, I think of this book's take on a new Constitutional Convention...which has most of the trappings of a Shriner's Convention. It's a very dated book, of course, but if you remember 1980, you will enjoy reading the wildly wrong predictions for a decade that was much weirder than anyone could have guessed.
