I love Mabel Maney's series starring nurse Cherry Aimless and super sleuth Nancy Clue. The Hardly Boys show up in the third book in the series. These books are a fun read. I think it is obvious from their title that they written to make one laugh, more than anything. however, the stories are entertaining. Highly recommend if you enjoy parodies.

If you enjoy reading, and aren't hindered by lesbian relationships...and if you enjoy good wit, you will love Nancy Clue books.

I couldn't finish this novel. While it does have the great benefit of introducing the Hardly Boys, this story isn't as humorous as the first book. Also, if I had to read one more description of someone's darling outfit, I was going to set fire to my closet.

I bought this for my wife and she loved it! It was hilarious as a satire of Nancy Drew and Cherry Ames in a lesbian setting. She said don't take it seriously and enjoy.

Funny in a stupid tie-wasting way. Nice way to lose track of time but absolutely no literary merit. Don't look for a well written book, just for utter silliness.

I have always wondered about those girl detectives and now I know! A good fashionable wardrobe, a good meal and everything turns out right! Amazing! Why haven't I heard of these absolutely great books before? Must recommend! I had a few laughs at the naïveté of lovely nurse Cherry Aimless and the obvious tolerance and love from her very out chums. I simply must have the whole series!
I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone who wants a really great, campy book. Nancy is niaive in many ways, and I had to laugh at some of the assumptions she made. It kinda makes me think of Leagally Blonde with her rose-coloured glasses, but definately not as annoying.
Very clever, and very witty. Well worth a read.
I also recommend "Kiss the girls and make them spy" by the same author. It's a little more "grown up" with a tad more modernism in it, but still FABULOUS! It's the story of Jane Bond, James Bond's twin sister, who has to step in to cover her brother while he is indisposed.....
