Again, this third book of the trilogy starts where the previous one left off, with the war still going on and the rogue dragon Snow still working to free more of her dragon pals from human slavery. The author's strength is in action, and there's no shortage of it here.

If you like dragons ala Anne McCaffrey or Ursula K. Le Guin stay away from this series. If you are looking for something to read while waiting for George R R Martin to publish the next volume in his series, give it a try. This volume is the bleak finale of a trilogy "red in tooth and claw". While each of the books can stand on its own, reading all three adds depth and resonance. The action is propelled by the needs and wants of the characters both human and dragon. And actions have consequences.

Battelogue. Competently written. I have absolutely no desire to read further than the first trilogy once it was obvious it was going to more of same.

Prince Jehal stole the show in this book. I loved the heart pounding anticipation, there were some letdowns and some major character deaths and some mysteries that are still to be discovered.

A good fantasy book, it moves fast and is not very long, less than 400 pages. Give it a try . .

Not nearly as good as the first two books in the series, characters do a lot of talking to themselves and the chapters that focus on the sell sword character will put you to sleep, just skip those chapters

Are the realms completely taking over. Who's coming from over the sea a book and I can't wait wait to read the next one is a good one.

Very slowly everything happens.
Unfortunately, I got sucked in by reading the first book, and curiosity got me through the second an third. Lame
