The bestselling paranormal fantasy series from JENNA ELIZABETH JOHNSON. As of right now, I have plans for two more trilogies to take place after the initial books (Faelorehn, Dolmarehn, Luathara), as well as a true sequel to Robyn's book (Lorehnin).

The bestselling paranormal fantasy series from JENNA ELIZABETH JOHNSON Praise for the Otherworld books. I also plan to write books for two of the secondary characters as well. Right this moment, however, I simply MUST get my next Oescienne book out (the last one was published in 2011, and my readers are not happy with me right now :( - I blame the characters of the Otherworld series for distracting me

Magical realms, Celtic warriors, and faerie glamour: Percy Jackson meets The Mortal Instruments. “An appealing blend of awkward teen and powerful Fae. I love the passion, mystery and adventure the heroine experiences.” ★★★★★ “Do you trust me Meghan?” His voice was soft, almost pleading. I swallowed and tried hard to discern his expression in the dark. The paltry amount of light reaching this far into the small cavern glinted off his eyes, giving him the appearance of a demon trying to tempt me into doing something evil. “Yes,” I answered, my own voice a mere whisper, “I trust you.” “Good.” He gave my hand a quick squeeze, and then I was pulled forward into the icy abyss that loomed before us . . . A year ago, Meghan Elam learned that she was Faelorehn, a being of the Otherworld. Immortal. Now she must juggle her life in the mortal world with the one she has started to build in the Otherworld. However, keeping her identity secret from her friends and family while trying to avoid a wrathful Celtic goddess is no easy task. With the help of the intriguing Cade MacRoich, Meghan will learn that not only does she come from a place full of magic and wonder but that she, too, is far more powerful than she ever thought possible.

It's official, I want my own spirit guide....a Kestrel would nice or a Sheltie Collie. :0)

Dolmarehn is the second book about the Otherworld and Meghan's story by Jenna Elizabeth Johnson.

The story is told in first person from Meghan Elam's perspective. I'll admit it, I love details, but I also want to kick Meghan's backside a few times..... however I'll also admit that I have a tendency to hash over things in my thoughts a lot too. Oops. Sadly, no spirit guide though, but I do have a puppy...who by the way also loves listening to audio books and listened to all of these with me. Seriously, she made a point to be close by and not with the rest of the family when the story was being read.

Warning - if you haven't read Faelorehn yet stop here, there be hints at spoilers ahead.

Meghan Elam's first trip through the Dolmarehn into Eile in Faelorehn was a disaster, a trick of The Morrigan and now her protective geis is broken. The Otherworld Faelah can harm her and Meghan, under the distant guidance of Caeden MacRoich and protection of his spirit guide Fergus, must learn how to protect herself, why The Morrigan wants her, and the place and people she came from all those years ago.

The journey during her senior year of high school is not an easy one. She has to recover from her attack, avoid Faelah, and practice her archery. Cade is far away most of the time, fulfilling punishment for breaking his own geis. Meghan wishes they were closer and hashes over her feelings and every which way she can guess about his when he's not there. Fergus protects Meghan, but then he's not protecting Cade. That's when Meridian arrives from Eile and Meghan's life changes again.

Cade takes Meghan through the Dolmarehn to try to recharge her glamour after living in our world most of her life. Amidst trying to understand herself and her world, Meghan tries to discover why Cade keeps distancing himself and what secrets he's keeping from her.
In Eile we are introduced, with Meghan, to a few vastly different characters that will shape the future and each in their own turn guide Meghan into who she will become. She's grown so much already but there's so much for her to learn and to do, and there's still The Morrigan waiting in the shadows for the proper moment and when she strikes lives will be lost and the Elam family will never be the same again.

I started out with the Kindle version and also bought the Audible audio book version (audio my preferred method) and acquired the rest of the stories available. I took a road maybe a little less traveled and read Faelorehn (Book 1) then Dolmarehn (Book 2) which are both told from Meghan's point of view. Then I couldn't resist and read/listened to Ghalien then Ehriad (Books 4 & 5) which are told from Cade's point of view...some of the events from the first two books from his perspective plus new adventures. Then I read Luathara, which is actually Book 3.

I recommend all of these books. I own the Kindle and Audible versions of each and will be rereading/relistening to them again.

Next journey to Luathara...

I read book 1, Faelorelyn of the Other world Trilogy and really enjoyed it. This book was even better than the first one and I plan to read the 3rd book, Luathara next. I can't wait to read what happens next for Meghan and Cade. The only negative thing for me are reviews by older adults who complain about a teen's/character's behavior described in a book. I have a teenage daughter who has friends over all the time and they don't all act the same, but the one thing they do have in common is inexperience in life. They do things that to me as a parent and older person may think of as childish, silly or just plain stupid sometimes. It's to be expected. So I totally disagree with those reviews as I'm sure that's what the writer was trying to portray to begin with.....a confused teen or a teen doing something immature at times, etc. I guess for those that don't have a teenager or child they are guessing at what one acts like.

Jenna Johnson weaves such a magical world and if you like this kind of story line then you should buy this book!

With the help of one absurdly handsome, faelah bounty hunter, Cade Mcroich, Meghan reluctantly embraces her heritage as a Faelorehn, an immortal, of the grievous Otherworld. As she travels by the Dolmarehn near her earthly home, Meghan faces horror and wonder in the somewhat familiar and magical realm.
To the Morrigan, goddess of war and strife, Meghan is enemy number one. She has many reasons for wanting Meghan destroyed; the most prominent is the desire to harness the vast, untapped power of her magic. Meghan, on the other hand, has more reasons to live than ever before.
Meghan's new friends amorously help her find her way as chaos, terror, and disappointment rains down upon her fragile state. And through the series of Malevolent storms, the self-sacrificing, Cade McCROICH is her always present calm. Though she is not as cautious to hold Cade at arm's length, confessing her love is a vulnerability she may not yet be ready to reveal. While fighting for their lives, the shocking revelation of Cade's own secrets are discovered to harness far more sinister components.

As Dolmarehn introduced lovable characters, such as the boisterous Dagda with his magical Cauldron, I could have developed a mental whiplash from zipping through the book so swiftly. I fell in love with the gods and loved to despise the Morrigan. A witty enemy with unique, strategic plots guarantees a must-read adventure. The intensity between Cade and Meghan was filled with such a desperate longing I found myself filled with agonizing desire. In Dolmarehn, secrets are revealed, there are broken and ornate castles partial to the imagery. unique magic, beautiful landscapes, moments of fun, shattered dreams, and unrequited love. With the second book of the trilogy becoming so much a part of me, the wait for Luathara felt unbearable.

Other than a few grammatical errors, the charming sequel to Faelorehn is as promised, even better than the first Otherworld novel, Faelorehn.

Really liked the first one and was very delighted with the second one! Jenna is definitely taking her time to give tons of great detail to her story and has made it worth the wait for the third one! Love Meghan and Cade! And for some reason I'm totally in love with Meridian! Can't wait for the next installment!!!

A great young adult book. Typical good vs evil but in a new fantasy setting. I am really enjoying the characters and the author is great in describing the settings and scenery. First book was free, bought this one and am now on the third in the series. This book really fleshed out the characters and what their purposes are together. Plenty of fantastical animals, magic and the start of a romantical relationship.
