I feel this book is one of the author ‘s weakest. First of all, the plot seemed contrived and not all that interesting. Secondly, the characters were shallow and / to uninteresting. Ginny seemed to be such a busybody and why didn ‘t she tell the police when she found the kidnapped victim ? She seemed to have no common sense and in the end, she suddenly decided to reunite with her husband. Apparently she forgot that he cheated on her, which is why she ran off in the first place and started this whole story. Finally, the story just seemed to be a rip- off of Agatha Christie’s Tommy and Tuppence Beresford books, with a well- heeled couple driving around the English countryside, solving mysteries.

well, that was cute and everything ended well. I thought it a little far fetched that these actors would actually kidnap someone! But read for yourself and find out. It's not a scary or gory tale by any means, but it does have its moments! Very light reading, good for an train or air trip. I did miss the DCI's and their personnel though that usually inhabit Anthea's other stories I've read.
