He called it "The Injection," a story about a mad scientist who invents a formula that can bring anything to life. Anderson is the author of three hardcover novels based on the X-Files; all three became international bestsellers, the first of which reached on the London Sunday Times. Ground Zero was voted "Best Science Fiction Novel of 1995" by the readers of SFX magazine.

Ground Zero has a great plot and excellent use of the supernatural that made the X-Files such a fascinating show. I have read numerous Kevin J. Anderson books and he is always somewhere in the range of serviceable to quite good. The characters don't have extreme depth, but are well drawn. For me, that is the history of Krypton that I remember when I think of what happened before Superman was born.

I was blown away by the accuracy of this book. As a retired DOE employee, I found myself wonderi,g who spilled so much about the agency and it's inner workings. On the story side, well-written and creepy, with a topical plot of revenge and punishment, I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
I liked the story this authored wrote. Unfortunately, I thought it was a little dry. I am an X-Files fan and I wanted to believe the books were as good as the T.V. Series. The plot is developed, but, I wasn't overly exited on the execution of it. On a positive note, I think the author captured Mulder's quirky humor and Scully's logical balance. I'll try another book in the series, because I still want to believe.
It's so easy
I really enjoyed it and recommend it to all X-Files fans!
I have always loved the X-Files shows and this stayed pretty much true to form. I don't remember Mueller being such a jokester but the book did show him more in that light. My only real complaint was that the book ended sooner than I thought it should.
This is a fast-paced read filled with character portraits that bring even peripheral characters to life. I especially enjoyed the deepening of Scully's character along the way. Enjoy!
It reads like an episode. Not one of the great ones, not one of the bad ones.
Anyone who enjoys supernatural stories as well as two people who work so well together in spite of their differences as to the reasons for explanations for why things happen. Makes very enjoyable reading.
This is a good read if you're already familiar with the various idiocyncracies of the X Files. If that's not the case, you'd probably struggle with it. If you know the world, however, it's a good read.
