I like how Ashbery can set up a subject he could never really describe, acknowledge the act of writing, then, is a paradox, and then complain the whole time about how impossible it would be to write about that moment. If the poems weren't so charming, it would just feel ridiculous reading him. As it is, I come away feeling the same way as Ashbery. I am wistful for novelty, and I am pretty sure I'll never actually grasp when I've actually discovered something novel.

But unlike a printed book, which is stable, an ebook is a shape-shifter. Electronic type may be reflowed across a galaxy of applications and interfaces, across a variety of screens, from phone to tablet to computer.
