The Silence of the Lambs is a psychological horror novel by Thomas Harris. First published in 1988, it is the sequel to Harris' 1981 novel Red Dragon. Both novels feature the cannibalistic serial killer Dr. Hannibal Lecter, this time pitted against FBI Special Agent Clarice Starling. Its film adaptation directed by Jonathan Demme was released in 1991 to box office success and critical acclaim.

After reading The Silence of Blackberries, I couldn't help but feel mostly let down by this compilation of his "works". What bothers me most is that there are several poems in this book that remind me of other works that I've read from more established authors. Does anyone else notice this? Interpret that as you will, but this only goes to show how Depta is most likely a self-published only author.
