The convenient brid.

The Pregnancy Shock book. and money" more than ending a mediocre story with no conclusion. Seriously, I do not need to purchase the sequel to this to know that Billie ends up with her abusive asshole of a boss, lover, and husband.

When his personal assistant asked for extended leave, Greek billionaire Alexei Drakos was extremely inconvenienced. He relied on Billie Foster for everything-running his life, even getting rid of his girlfriends. Little did Alexei know that Billie had left to have his baby! In fact, he didn't even remember their passionate night and he had no idea she was pregnant! With Billie gone, there was something missing in Alexei's glittering existence. When she returned, he needed to offer her something special to make her stay-maybe a wedding ring of convenience?

There were paparazzi everywhere. As a man who set a high value on privacy, he was not impressed. g out to him and making inviting.

There were paparazzi everywhere. g out to him and making inviting gestures. As if, Alexei thought with all the disdain of an aristocrat for rotten meat. As a teenager he had sampled many female bodies without the need to make dates or chit-chat, but he had grown up since then. If Calisto had not begged him to bring her to Cannes, he would have been miles away from the noise, the poseurs and the fuss.

The Pregnancy Shock - Lynne Graham. Billie was still engaged in recalling her shock on learning that Alexei, over in London on business, had decided to visit her without so much as a phone call to forewarn her of his plans. How shocked he would have been had she answered the door to him with an obviously pregnant stomach! It was pure luck that the deception she had entered into with Hilary-the planned pretence that her aunt was the one having the baby-had not been exposed on the spot.

I was afraid that I was going to upset you and that maybe you wouldn't want to risk a second pregnancy-'. We just had bad luck. Oh, I do wish that you'd told me how you felt when I was in hospital,' Betsy admitted unsteadily, her emotions very close to the surface.

The Hero was a douche bag, and the bimbo he's about to marry is a doormat. Alexei is lame and I couldn't even see him as anything other then lame. Her name I can't even remember so let's just call her the doormat. There is so much internal thoughts in her stupid head and it goes on and on and on. I kept flicking pages in my kindle at the speed of light. This book was terrible and if Ms Graham expects me to read the second half of this stupid book, it just better appear by magic in my kindle for FREE. I gave this book one star because I had to, so already I'm saying this book is over rated. I wouldn't recommend this book at all.

It's the typical lynne Graham story. Rich domineering tycoon and the spineless , mousy heroine. Guilty pleasure , enjoyed reading it. I just wish her heroines were more spirited and less of a doormat to the hateful mothers. On the guilty pleasure scale I give it 4/5

I've read at least 14 of this authors books and enjoyed them all until this one. It just ends without the usual conclusion. It's like a season finale where you have to wait for next year to find out how things worked out. It feels like they forgot to include the last few chapters of the book.

It was great until I got to the end and she just said we're getting married and it ended. Was very disappointed with the ending. I thought for a minute not all the book downloaded. But was a very good read.

When i read the other reviews about this book,i was discouraged but i went ahead to read it because Lynne Graham is one of my favorite authors.I was thoroughly enjoying the book until it ended and realized there was a second part.
If you are a Lynne Graham fan,you will enjoy this book just bear in mind you will have to wait a while for the second book. But in all the storyline was well constructed, and i loved the characters especially Billy.

I know that some readers were disappointed with The Pregnancy Shock and its sequel A Stormy Greek Marriage, but for the life of me I can't understand why. Lynne Graham wrote a beautiful story about a love that began long before either party realized it. Alexei was a teenager to Bliss's tween the first time he rescued her. That was when he gave her the nickname Billie and the their relationship began. Much of The Pregnancy Shock is told in flashback, but this lays the foundation for their relationship. As you read you can see the seeds of romance being sown as Billie confronts Alexei about his boorish behavior toward women and Alexei never misses a chance to protect her. I didn't find the amnesia after they had sex the first time any less credible as the ever breaking condom, or the low dose birth control pill that just didn't work! The sequel A Stormy Greek Marriage is an emotional roller coaster as Alexei and Billie try to come to terms with the fact that she hid her pregnancy and then passed their son off as her cousin. Both were well worth my time. Lynne Graham did a masterful job as usual!
Okay, let me start out by saying that I accept full responsibility for being ticked off because even though the reviews were bad, I read both books anyway...but only because they came in a bulk order from eBay.

I took the chance because generally speaking, I like Lynne Graham. I shouldn't have bothered. So many reviews could not have been wrong.

First of all, I hated how the story was written. Because Billie was recounting what had happened to her to lead her to the point where the story picked it up, it was like reading someone's poorly written diary.

On top of that, the hero was an unmitigated jacka**, which even though I'm used to that from Lynne Graham heroes, this guy was worse than most, even more so since he didn't redeem himself in the end. I was so surprised that even while he treated Billie like crap for not one but two books, he had the nerve to tell her he wanted them to have another child. I literally did a doubletake and had to reread that paragraph.
***********************The Story**************
Billie is from a broken home with a mother who cares more about her boyfriends than her child. Alexei Drakos' family pretty much rules the island and as teenagers, Alexei takes the picked on Billie under his care. When they grow up, he offers Billie the role of his assistant. Billie is secretly in love with Alexei, and one night Alexei hits on her and takes her virginity. That night, he falls, hits his head and has no memory of having sex with Billie. Later, Billie discovers that she is pregnant, and unwilling to tell Alexei that they had slept together, takes a leave of absence, has the baby in England, and passes the baby off as her aunt's when she moves the baby back to the island. Due to circumstances, Alexei decides to marry Billie and discovers she isn't a virgin on their wedding night. Billie then tells Alexei about the baby at which time Alexei calls her a whole bunch of names and treats her like crap for the remainder of both books.

*****************Don't Waste Your Time*********
The book was poorly written and the characters completely unlikeable. It really shouldn't have taken two books to tell this drawn out, ridiculous plot with a doormat heroine and a reprobate for a hero. I read the second book (A Stormy Greek Marriage) in the vain hope that it would redeem The Pregnancy Shock. It didn't. Take my word for it. Give this set of books a pass. They are a waste of both time and money.
