I got this book, because I wanted to change my lifestyle. I couldn't cook very well, didn't know how to shop for healthy things.. but really had to motivation to change all that! This book really, really helped me. I cannot say that enough! It TEACHES you how to shop, gives you a 2 week clean meal plan, and the recipes are really easy to follow! In 2 weeks I lost over 12lbs! But most importantly I'm still on it, almost 2 months later. The food is AMAZING, and I feel soooo much better. I cannot say enough about this book!! If you have the motivation to change your lifestyle, this is a good place to start!

My wife ordered this for herself, and loves this book! It is very well written with great photos. The format of the book is excellent as it very thoughtfully lays out exactly what foods to eat and not eat, with easy and great guidelines. It is a rather unique healthy eating book as it goes through virtually all fruits, vegetable and protein choices explaining the benefits of each and the vitamins received from each. There is also food plans and recipes that are extremely healthy and easy to prepare for each of the three stages of following this program. My wife has lent this book out to several people, but always makes sure she gets it back, as she loves this book and refers to it on and off.

I'm at the end of my second week on this diet, so I can't really evaluate how well it works or how sustainable it is. I do, however, have a few recommendations for anyone starting this plan.

1. Prepare for a rough first week or two. I'm sure this doesn't happen to everyone, but I felt pretty rotten most of the first week: sluggish, moody, terrible headaches, even chills and nausea for a brief period. I'm guessing this was some sort of sugar withdrawal. In the second week, I'm a bit tired and moody, but the other symptoms have gone away. I was hoping for that renewed energy that people talk about, but it sure hasn't happened yet.

2. The day-by-day meal plan needs some serious modification to make it more practical -- unless you want to spend every waking hour cooking and cleaning up. The problem is that it has too much variety; this makes it look like a delicious, varied meal plan at first glance, but it turns out to be way more work than it's worth. When you're planning your week, I would suggest doubling up many of the meals so you can repeat them or modify them for the following day. And it's kind of silly that she suggests drinking four different flavors of fruit water in a single day. Relax and have raspberry water on Monday, lime water on Tuesday, etc.

I ordered the Kindle version of this book and it was a mistake. I need to be able to turn to specific pages and then back and the table of contents doesn't help me find the pages. It's just not a good Kindle book. But, if it is in hardback or spiral bound, it would perfect. Love the ideas in the book!

This book doesn't only have great recipes that are easy, it doesn't require lots of exotic spices and ingredients. What i especially liked was at the beginning there is a great deal of information about foods and what is in them. AND it's not boring to read as information is simple to read and understand. Easy information that you can remember, so you don't have refer back to it. All cookbooks should be like this. I know for sure about this because I have many. Thank you Dari!

The book was exactly as described, very good condition, and arrived a couple days earlier than anticipated which I really liked.

I was very skeptical about the book but hoped for the best because I'd been trying to loose about 15 lbs. for months. Following the clean diet, not only helped me jump start my weight loss, but gave an added, unexpected bonus. It gave me a lot of Energy! I have been energy deprived for years and clean eating has noticably boosted my energy level. Three weeks later and I'm still losing weight and feeling great.
I have to give this 4 star a because it is not quick for someone who is busy. While I lost 4 pounds the first week, I felt chained to the stove all week. Too much cooking for my preference.
