I am a psychologist and a dreamer. This book will definitely be on my recommendation list for any of my clients who are dealing with cancer. Dream images can give us helpful clues to our body's health and as this book illustrates, dreams can also provide healing images for meditation. Wanda Burch begins with a marvellous description of her introduction to a dreaming life under her grandmother's tutelage. The stories themselves drew me into the dreamworld and made me a part of her childhood experience.
Part Two of the book explains in helpful detail how Wanda's dreams showed her an illness that the doctors did not want to recognize. Eventually diagnosed with cancer, she turned to her dream journal and nightly dream experiences for assistance in surviving cancer and healing physically and emotionally. Her story is so compelling that I had to stop reading part way through to dig out my own dream journals to look for clues to my own state of body.
Part Three leads readers into their own dream exploration. Wanda attributes her current health to having dreamed. I heartily recommend this book to anyone who wants a deeper dream experience, and I believe that reading this book could even save your life.

Wanda Burch has done a great service for anyone who has ever gone to a doctor and been sent home because "it's nothing to worry about". Well, yes, sometimes that's so - sometimes it's difficult to distinguish what's Real from what's neurosis. And yet sometimes we get very clear messages about things, and we MUST learn to listen to those feelings. By doing so, Wanda saved her own life. As she says in this beautiful book, Wanda is alive because she dreams. I would amend that to say that she is alive because she Listens to her dreams, and Does something about them.
It really comes down to self-respect, self-worth, and self-knowledge. Whether one's belief system sees dreams as coming from a higher place, or from subliminal intuition, or from daily "brain-drain", the fact remains that if we look at dreams analytically, there's a chance that we'll find something important. If we don't, we certainly won't. And what a shame.
I thank Wanda Burch for writing such an inspiring book. Just since reading it, I have made some observations on my own dreams that I might not have thought of before, and have looked back on times when I had "gut feelings" about situations that later turned out to be dead-on accurate. This is remarkable work, and more people should avail themselves of the healing that comes so naturally with the Dreaming!
Readers may also like to know that Wanda can be seen in a wonderful new series of videos with Robert Moss, called "The Way of the Dreamer" and available from Psyche Productions in Milford CT. Open yourself to the experience of your own dreams!

This is a very-well written account of using dreaming to heal illness. I underlined many passages throughout as they reflected things I've encountered or wanted to use in my life. Her story of healing is a great map for others to borrow for their own situations. She again and again proves that dreams are the best compass for one's life. I can't recommend this enough. It's not just a story about surviving breast cancer; it's a story about bravely living one's life.

Wanda shares with us her hopes and dreams about a disease that is life-threatening. Her dreams lead her into a path of recovery and the book has some great dreams she shares with us.
It has been a great inspiration for me while writing my own book about healing.

As an herbalist, I love the stories and the history. As one who has now gone through breast cancer twice, this book is a valuable treasure. It teaches you how to listen and not be afraid to be out of the ordinary when doing so. Your life depends upon it.

I purchased this book as a gift for a loved one dealing with cancer. It was recommended by Robert Moss and it was a excellent recommendation. My loved one is reading it and loving it. Already had one "healing" dream as soon as the book was started. I can't wait for her to finish it as i am looking forward to reading it myself. From all she has told me it sounds fascinating!
Wanda's story is honestly personal and provides specific details for someone with breast cancer or any disease to work with imagery for healing. I give this to everyone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
