As a PA specializing in gynecology, sexual medicine and sexuality counseling, this book has been instrumental in my practice. Dr. Hall's insightful views into relationships and the potential pitfalls we can all succumb to have not only helped my patients, but also my 16 year marriage! I recommend this book to patients on a daily basis and have heard amazing success stories. She provokes thought, conversation, and understanding when it's needed most among couples. This book is certainly one of my first line therapies. Thank you Dr. Hall!

An interesting read but it really kind of puts all responsibility on the woman and can be very accusatory. Being a counselor/therapist myself, I feel that this could do more harm than good if you are looking for some real guidance in place of actual therapy. If you just want a little more insight and varying viewpoints on sexuality and self-image, you could give it a try.

Cant remember purchasing the book but Im sure I did. We have such a large inventory of self help books to read before everything went digitial. Maybe purchased as a gift for a friend.

Dr. Hall's book is one for which I have been waiting. It provides a tool for an all to common problem among women who when finding themselves in this situation tend to blame themselves. It is not a blaming book, but more of a normalizing experience (this can happen to anyone given the demands of day to day life). She then provides the reader with a practical guide for improving their own sexual self. As a therapist I highly recommend this book to clients and as a woman's advocate I applaud her ability to direct her work toward women without a hint of blame just an empathic expertise.

I'm glad this book showed up on an Amazon.com search for "seniors in love."

I found and ordered RECLAIMING YOUR SEXUAL SELF, SEASONED ROMANCE, and RECLAIMING DESIRE, among others.

Each one, in its own unique way, pointed me back to the fact that it is never too late to find both true love and wonderful sex, including for seniors.

The subtitle of this book, HOW YOU CAN BRING DESIRE BACK INTO YOUR LIFE, says it best! And I can tell you from experience that it is true. The libido wasn't lost; it was just in need of being reclaimed. There was still desire, but it needed to be fueled into flame!

Thank goodness for writers like Kathryn Hall and the others I've mentioned, for each extraordinary author has pointed the way toward filling life with romance (and hopefully lots of years of spicy, seasoned senior sex)!

It's time to bring desire back!
The big drug companies are trying sell women all kinds of pills and patches to fix a sex life that isn't working. Do yourself a favor: before taking antidepressants, hormones or running off to therapy, give this book a read. The author doesn't treat low desire like some sort of disease that needs to be cut out. Instead, she encourages you to look at what low desire might be saying, and how to deal with it in meaningful ways. Her approach can help you feel better about yourself and your life. I got a lot from this book and I highly recommend it for women and men.
