Bass was not even the leader during the most successful of his robberies, the Union Pacific holdup in Big Springs, Nebraska. Most of his other efforts netted only a few hundred dollars. The only parts of the legend that seem to hold much truth is that Bass was popular in parts of Denton County and that he was often helped in evading law officers.
Originally released in 1984 as a cassette. This album has been since remastered. Morts More space-ambient sounding than his later work, but I love this kinda stuff. If Mike Oldfield recorded an album with Brian Eno as the producer and Jean Michel Jarre co-writing and making guest appearances it may sound similar to this, Rick Miller's 1984 debut.
