This book is bargain priced and has a very cool cover and interior design. There a lots of illustrations, and plenty of historical information. This is not one of those sappy "how to be a ninja" books. This one gives a lot of accurate information about the function of ninjas in the larger Japanese society. And it is cool! 0. Report. wow my daughter checked this book out a school .... right around the time i ordered it...hahaha

but this was decent material who is joel levy? dont know did some decent research had some cool drawing in there its worth having this and the samurai book by the same compnay as a set...

i lik ethe fact of different types of ninja drawn and stuff.,..swords on the back,.straight blades ect ect..people need to realize the actually were more than one clan of ninja get over it...ninja could be and do anything use anything...cmon man!!

This was a fun, interesting and easy book to read. Almost every second page is a full-page picture and the line spacing is very generous so an adult reader could get through it in a single night (if they were reasonably committed). I read it over a weekend and took a strong interest in the more theoretical elements that were covered - including Ninja origins and the contemporary perception of Ninja. It had enough substance to hold my attention whilst also playing up to the more romantic idea's during the middle chapters (such as ninja weapons, strategy and missions). A comprehensive but light read that is certainly recommended to anyone with an endearing interest in the ninja. Four stars.
This book looks cool and the pages look like ancient scroll paper. Goes great with the ninja info that this book is packed with. The book talks about what is a ninja, the history, training, weaponry, techniques, etc.

It's a fun read and I'm sure kids will treasure it. As an adult it makes great bathroom reading. The book has info that's entertaining and not very common in the subject of ninjas. I personally like collecting fun and obscure looking books like this so this is a 5 star purchase for me.
