The Book is in fact two books; Little Domesday covers the eastern counties, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk, while Great Domesday covers the rest of England. England's two major cities, Winchester and London are omitted. Little Domesday, being far more detailed, is actually bigger than Great Domesday.
