With the memory palace technique and other memorization techniques that deal with symbols . Memory might still be a mystery to us, but studies have shown that the techniques above will help you retain more of what you learn.

With the memory palace technique and other memorization techniques that deal with symbols (such as letters and numbers), the best strategy is to turn something abstract into a sound and visual representation. Use the sounds in the word to turn it into an image. In the case of "Mike," you can think of a picture of a microphone. I don't have a photographic memory and sometimes still struggle to remember where I left my keys, but when I try to commit something to memory using at least one of the techniques above, it tends to stick in my brain.

IWAS
I saw the 5 star rating and thought it would be a great book for my mother who is a quilter and a genealogy buff. It is disappointing. The quilts showcased are unattractive and look sloppy. In short, it would not inspire others to make them because of the workmanship and color choices. Wish I had purchased a different book on the topic.

very old ideas - would like to return this
Perongafa
This book is full of lovely memory quilt ideas. I especially love the projects that include hard-objects, such as paint brushes, cookies cutters and fishing tackle. There are plenty ideas for delicate feminine quilts and manly ones too. Very thorough and inspiring.
Phobism
This book did not have, at all, usable patterns or suggestions. It looked like it would have some traditional ideas but it did not.
