I love books about conspiracies, or alternative view points on commonly accepted topics. This volume contains two books. If you only read and understood the first, you would have an understanding of what humanity has tried over the years as means to govern (or not) itself. I like them because they push me to think and use a clever tool, my pre-conception of how things are, to teach me. Often you can only believe slivers of them but those slivers are worth the trudge through the opinions and half-cocked arguments. This book is not like that. But it's pretty boring. It's very Tibetan Buddhist-style-lots of lists. Weeeeee, fun for those that aced OChem.
