Frans Michael Franzén (9 February 1772 – 14 August 1847) was a Swedish-Finnish poet and clergyman. He served as the Bishop of the Diocese of Härnösand. Franzén was born in Oulu (Swedish: Uleåborg), Northern Ostrobothnia, Finland, which at the time was an integral part of Sweden. At thirteen he entered the Royal Academy of Turku, where he attended the lectures of Henrik Gabriel Porthan (1739–1804), a pioneer in the study of Finnish history and folklore.

Frans Mikael Franzén was a Swedish poet. Widely known are his songs, especially the drinking ones - "God's gosse, glaset töm", "Glädjens ögonblick" and "Champagne", as well as poems about Fanny, which the author subsequently combined with his early poems, the heroine of which was Selma, in a cycle called "Selma och Fanny". As prose writer Franzen became known for his "The Tale of the Swedish Queens", dedicated to the marriage of Gustaf IV Adolf. He was also famous as a preacher and rhetorician.

Larsson is most famous for his bestselling Millennium series of thrillers that explored the dark underbelly of Swedish society and politics. A journalist for his much of his life, he died suddenly in 2004, just months after selling his first book, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. He left behind completed manuscripts for the two sequels, which have together sold 80m copies around the world.

Lars-Erik Larsson occupied an important position in Swedish musical life, not least in his work for broadcasting, theatre and cinema. His style as a composer is eclectic – ranging from the late-Romantic to techniques derived from the 12-note system outlined by Schoenberg – but original in method.
