This book does do some good things. Celia Rees' prose flows very nicely, making even the boring bits easy to read.

Celia Rees did a remarkable job with this book. Sovay's character is flawless and her daring nature gets her into all sorts of juicy trouble. The ending was somewhat unexpected, and I felt that it was a lot of fun to read.
