I visited Dachau on a trip to Munich back in the late '80s. One of the experiences that effected me the most was the letters and documentation in the Dachau museum. I chose this book because it looked like it contained that information from the museum that I could share with my daughters. It does, and more. I have already read some laws passed in Nazi Germany to oppress the Jewish population to my daughters. I asked them if they could compare it to something in today's world, and, unfortunately, they very easily did so. With this book, I am able to pass on lessons I learned when I visited Dachau, and drive home the point that to make a better future, you have to learn from the past. Then you must do everything within your power to not make the same mistakes. Excellent book and learning tool.

I'm not sure what I can say. The pictures said a 1000 words and then some. This is an incredible piece of history that should never be forgotten.

My husband had visited Dachau when he was only 15, but he wasn't able to remember much of his visit. I bought the book for information and was startled and awed at what I read. In 2016 we are off to Dachau for our own visit thanks to the book!

The book contains so much information. Since the book is an older copy, it was written at a time where memories of the Holocaust were much more vivid than in the present day (2016).

Very sad story but one we should all read about!

Twenty years ago I visited Dachau when I was stationed in Germany. I purchased this book while there but somehow lost it over the years which I always regretted. I suspect I lent it to someone and forgot about it. Anyway, this is the same exact book that I purchased while I was there, and I am thrilled to have it once again. Thank you!
