O'Keefe was born in and raised in Delmar, New York, where he attended Bethlehem Central High School (1997-2001). He studied political science at American University (2001-2005) in their School of Public Affairs. O’Keefe holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the School of Public Affairs of American University.
