He is really unendurably so, at times! There is not the smallest element of excitement in knowing him. LORD GORING.

Fantastic book! I do love Oscar Wilde, so there is some bias, but this is full of humor and wit . I had seen the movie (An Ideal Husband ) some years back and really liked it. This original book version, though, bothered me a bit. As is usual for the Wilde I've read, the writing is very good.

Fantastic book! I do love Oscar Wilde, so there is some bias, but this is full of humor and wit and is a great little story - there's no reason I wouldn't recommend this. It's short and a quick read. Everyone commits mistakes and to pretend that one has not is an outright falsehood. The play became an instant success, like most of Wilde's other plays.
