Not as "strenuous" as Kirk & Raven which had quotes imbedded in footnotes etc. making it more of a "scholarly" thing (but also excellent nonetheless).

If you are wanting to know more about the pre-Socratics of ancient Greece this book is a must have. Though Burnet makes claims that are controversial even today he still offers insights that are being proven even in this modern time. Remember he initially published this book in 1895 so over a hundred years later and we are finding him to be highly accurate on his reasoning.
A very good introduction to the subject matter. A must read for anyone interested in this type of knowledge.
Great, on time, no complains
Poor typesetting makes it difficult to distinguish links to notes (that should be in a small superscript font, but are in the same font as the text) from the text, resulting in some unexpected page jumps.
Best West
A real fine insight
Potential buyers should be aware that this edition is a photographic reproduction of the 1892 first edition of Burnet's famous book. It would probably be better to find a copy (used) of the final, fourth edition.
Judging by earlier reviews, the Kindle edition was once an unreadable photocopy. This is no longer the case. A readable edition of a learned book on its subject. It is true that the footnotes are not clickable, but they are not too hard to look up at the end of each respective chapter.
Kindle edition is just scanned photographically so cannot be searched and has no usable page numbering or indexing. Main text is unalterably small and displays in landscape mode. Footnotes are smaller still, with Greek text almost impossible to make out.
