Saxton's hilarious humor really helped me break into the land of child language development. My teacher suggested this book for good reasons, but also warned us against the several omissions in the text that may not show the whole picture. She managed to show us the whole picture through other articles and books, and I would suggest anyone interested in this book not to take it as absolute truth. However, even if I did not have to buy this book for class, I would have liked to read it!
Book was in great condition. No miscellaneous markings or highlights. It was missing one page, but that may be publishing error--it didn't appear to have been ripped out.
I am enjoying this book. Nice sense of humor. Mr. Saxton reveals reasonable critical thinking, challenging the arm chair opinions of respected authorities of language acquisition, including Chomsky.
