This is an old book, well known and loved by a past generation. It should be read by more of the young. The message is still as timely as ever. It tells of the love of teaching by a gentle and wise man and the respect his students come to have for him. Not only have most students forgotten this ideal of the teaching profession, unfortunately, many teachers have lost it as well.
