Book 2. an uncommon dialogue.

Book 2. This book is an actual dialogue with God. It is the second in a series of three books capturing a conversation with Deity which has lasted well over five years-and continues to this very day. You may not believe that this material has actually come from God, and I have no need for you to. What is important to me is only whether the material itself has any value, brings any insight, produces any awakening, sparks any renewed desire, or promotes any fruitful change in our day-to-day life on Earth. God knows, something has to change. We can’t keep going on as we have been.

In Conversations with God: Book II, Neale Walsch and God resume their discussion and move on to larger topics than the personal issues addressed in their previous. Misleading and packed with lies. By Vicki, August 15 Verified Purchase. This book sugar coated deception. Speaks of the mythical figures of Jesus, angels, and the devil. Claims God is ever changing. A very misleading book. Very contradictory of Scripture. I believe it was a conversation, not with God but of the enemy. Shortly after starting to read it, I threw it in the trash. That is the only appropriate place for this book. Love it! By Mary, May 3 Verified Purchase.

I keep a few of these around at all times for friends who seem like they could use it. Despite what the title implies, I don't think of this as a religious book, more like a philosophy book. Its also rare that I say things like this, but this book truly changed my life.

LIFE CHANGING BOOK.
The first section is a bit slow going... but... if you stick with it, you will be so pleased. I wish I had read this book 20 years ago. I give it to everyone I know. I bought 3 copies. One to keep, One as a gift & One as a lender to anyone open to a wonderfully new and fresh perspective. Put your preconceived notions aside. This is one of the BEST books I have ever read.

This book has such a different take on talking with God that I look forward to reading volumes 2 & 3. The author has written this in such a way that it is easy to follow and understand the subject at hand. It is a good read and leaves you feeling that the answers have been right there all along even though you didn't even know or realize it.
It is an uncommon dialogue the author has with God but just may be what is needed at times in life when it seems there is no answer when the opposite is true.
The ending is very well worded and lets you know God is always with you. I recommend this book to anyone.

I truly don't know what to think about this book. It stunned me that anyone would have the courage to pen something like this. I have to credit him for his bravery in getting this out there. There are some very compelling things here that are worth seriously thinking about. But it's unclear to me whether this is "God" he is channeling or just his thoughts about religion and life in general. There seemed to be a lot of frustration in the writings, which would indicate that there is so much that is subjective here. Perhaps I just didn't believe it, but something did not resonate with me.

A book that shines a light on the God I’ve known in my heart who is nothing like the punishing one I was raised to believe in. Thank you God and ND Walsh for getting this to us!
Whenever I forget and become depressed I reread this book to remember

Each reader, each seeker of knowledge, must listen to their own internal voice on anything that is presented to them. What resonates with you as truth, is truth. With me, this inspired text - while far from complete knowledge of all that is - is truth. An outline of everything a human should know about life purpose on Earth, our Creator, and how to live life to our fullest potential; for that potential is truly unlimited.

Even if you're not sure if the conversation actually took place, it is a wonderful series of books that contain dialogue that I can easily imagine could have taken place.

What I think is that Neale meditated on questions that he'd love to ask God, then after days of thought and relaxation, wrote down what he imagined God might have said.

Perhaps he was influenced by dreams. I know that God has spoken to me in dreams. One time, I dreamt that I was dreaming, and in the inner dream, I met God (he was the engineer of a multicolor train getting ready to give people tours and rides during a city park celebration), and he had all these wonderful things to say to me, but when I woke up in the outer dream, I said to the people in the multi-ethnic multi-religion commune where they were letting me stay, "I just had the most wonderful dream. I dreamt that I met God and that he had all these wonderful things to say to me, but now I can't remember a single thing he said." A voice came to me in the outer dream, "Maybe you can't remember them now because what He said was for you, and not for other people.

So, I can easily believe that God inspired this book, just like I believe God inspired many other books, including some of my favorite fiction that was written by an agnostic.

I have a Ph.D. in Comparative Religion and have read a LOT of books on philosophy and religion. I can honestly say that Conversations with God Book 1 was the most profound and impactful book I have ever read. In fact, if I could have only read one book in my entire life it would be CwG book 1. Due to my experience, I have sought out and have spent quite a bit of time with the author, Neale Donald Walsch. Neale, both in person and in his writings, is in the top 10 most influential people in my life. As a result of the CwG dialog my life has been transformed and will never be the same.
